Trail/Bridge damage

Took a walk today out through the town forest down the Pokey Trail. The damage is ridiculous. Lots of trees down, and the bridge over Bow Bog Brook is hanging by a thread, literally.
This pic is the trail from my yard, not even on the main trail yet.

A pic of the bridge. It is resting on chunks of ice.

Trail 372 between the town forest and Robinson rd is not passable...even by foot.  Lots of huge trees down.  Didn't make it to the town forest to check that out.  Undecided

The Johnson trail has also been hammered! We may need to start working on this summer if we want to ride at all next year...

Maybe twice a month get together and start cutting. Doesn't mean we have to move it all...just cut it.

Well, we have to wait. The town forester is making his way through the town owned land to determine if there is timber that can be harvested and sold. We don't want to cut any falled trees that may have a $$ value to the property owner.

It's one of the few thats's still there.  I talked to westover who owns the land abutting the town forest and he is also seeing if the downed trees are worth $$ so we can't cut for now.

Mr. Westover says there's not enough to do any harvesting so its up to us to clear the trail.  It's gonna be fun.
